Lizzie Black is an artist living and working in Cornwall, England. Lizzie is the daughter of Bernard Evans - Newlyn artist. She has been practising the art of china painting for fifteen years, after achieving a degree in fine art. She lives with her family in Cornwall in the small fishing village of Mousehole, where she has a studio. Her work has been exhibited and sold in galleries and shops across the UK, such as The American Museum in Bath, The Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Beyond the Sea in Padstow and the Newlyn Gallery. Her work has featured in She magazine, Prima, Perfect Home and House Beautiful. Lizzie Black follows fashions and trends with her patterns and designs to produce something completely unique and stylish to decorate your home making everyday objects become colourful, original and most of all fun! Education and Workshops
Lizzie Black has been involved with Cornwall Golowan Festival for several years, and this year worked as lead artist for them making processional images with schools. Lizzie has also run music groups for pre-school children sharing her talent for the violin, the song and the story.
Lizzie has also collaborated with Cornish poet Sally Crabtree in a series of poetry, music and art workshops, called 'Poetree'. From this collaboration has sprung the 'Poetry on a Plate' range of painted ceramics - send a romantic message to someone special!

Lizzie is now heavily involved in animated film production since 2007, working with local school children in developing film productions - one of which won a prize at a film festival for schools in Exeter 2008. These works have received wide acclaim - these works are being further developed in 2008-2009.
